BECOMING A CSP PATIENT
You may be referred to a CSP specialist by your GP, physiotherapist or other health professional. Or you may have found us online or been recommended by a friend or relative. Whichever way you find us, once you have made the decision to come and see one our consultants, you can rest assured that we are here to guide you through the process to make it as easy as possible.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
If you have been referred to a specific Consultant or know who you would like to see, you can book with our appointments team on 0208 185 0815 or contact the Consultant’s PA directly. If you have been referred by your GP, physiotherapist or other health professional and you have provate health insurance then you will need a referral letter. If you are paying for your own treatment you can refer yourself.

INSURED OR PAYING YOURSELF?
Once you’ve booked your appointment, if you haven’t already done so, it’s very important that you contact your insurance company to obtain authorisation for the treatment. If you are paying for yourself, we can provide you with the cost of the consultation. Please be aware that the consultation price doesn’t cover scans or additional tests and investigations you may require on the day. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation of appointment letter from us by email, with all the necessary details for your visit.
OUTPATIENT CONSULTANTS
Outpatient appointments take place at one of the private clinics or hospitals that our consultants work at. These are listed by consultant or our appointments team will let you know. Your consultant will see you in a private room, listen to your conditions or complaints and take a previous medical history. If you need investigations these can be arranged on the same day, or at a time that is convenient to you.
FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS
During your appointment, your consultant may refer you for an MRI or X-ray in our Imaging Centre. We can organise this for you or organise for you to have these completed before your consultation.
TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES
If your consultant decides that you need a treatment such as an injection, you will be informed about this at the time as this will be an additional cost.
Should your Consultant recommend that the best course of treatment for you is to undergo a surgical procedure, this will take place at any of the other private hospitals that our Consultants operate at.
